Social Networking Sites



Social networking sites are involving every day. Today, I am going to talk about 4 well-known Social Networking sites.

Facebook. 

  • Facebook is the only site that I go to when I want to catch up with my friends. This site allows me to view my friends' past and present, hobbies, pictures and most importantly their feelings. Everything people post on Facebook can give us a hint of their emotions in that particular moments, this allows me to connect with my friends verbally and spiritually. Facebook truly made this world a smaller place. Unlike Twitter, on Facebook, you need a request to add friends and it is limited to friend base. 
Twitter. 
  • Twitter is another popular social media site. Each user has a twitter handle which starts an @ to distinguish every user. You can post statuses, pictures, videos, and follow anyone like your friends to keep yourself updated at all times. This is a site also helps you see what is trending around the face of the internet including breaking news and what's going on in the world. Comparing to Facebook, a Twitter user will following people who have the same interest or has any matching thing. I think using Twitter you will have a better view of the world but not limited to a "wall."
Linkedin. 
  • LinkedIn is the world's largest professional networking site. It allows users to invites friend and other professional to their connection list. Unlike facebook, LikedIn separates your connections into 3 levels ( first degree, second degree, and third degree), so you can easily find out people that you wish to reach out. LikedIn also separates user by regular and premium which it provides premium a better solution to find jobs and connection. Its feature allows people to view lists of people who have reviewed their profile so you can expand your connection really fast. The Linkedin user always keeps themselves in a professional way so they usually do not share their life experience but resume, education, work experiences. 
WeCaht. 

  • WeChat is a popular Asian social application that people uses daily. It allows people using video chat, voice chat, and regular chat. Users also upload videos and picture with words to show what they been up to.  This application helps to connect friends and families around the world. Nowaday, Thousands of Chinese had used WeChat to do e-business. They upload their product with video and words in order to attract buyers.
